1st- Bastion Running Club's New Years Run and Dip . Westwood Lake at 10:00 am.
An easy social run around the lake before an optional plunge into the lake and then some cinnamon buns, hot chocalate, coffee and other goodies. Any and all are welcome.
10th- Pioneer 8 km. The first race of the Island Series.
11:00 a.m. start. Location: Saanichton at Saanich Fairgrounds, 1528 Stelly's X Road. Early Registration fee of $20, $15 for students.
After Jan. 4th $25, $20 for students.
After Jan. 6th $30, $25 for students
Race day registration is $35 for everyone
Day of race registration from 9:00 am to 10:30 am

24th- Cobble Hill 10 km. Second race of the Island Series.
11:00 a.m. start. Location: George Bonner School Cobble Hill Road, Mill Bay. $20 early registration fee, 15 for students.
After Jan. 18th $25, $20 for students.
After Jan. 20th $30, $25 for students
Race day registration is $35 for everyone Day of race registration from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.

30th- Mt. Washinhton Yeti Snowshoe Race. 5 k and 10 k distance. 1st race of series.
Location: Mt Washington Ski Resort. Start Time: 11:00 am Check In & Registration : 9:00 am - 10:30 am Kids Race: entry is free for children under 10 with paid adult entry. Snowshoe rentals are available online.
